Nashville, Tenn. - With the holiday season upon us and parade fever in the air, ever wondered what happens with most parade floats after the parade? Most are torn down, left as only fading memories in the eyes of its spectators. A few others are stored away, refreshed and reused for next year's parade. The Crye-Leike, Realtors' float in the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce's December 10, 2000 parade will be turning an old tradition into a novel idea.
The sales associates at Crye-Leike, Realtors in Hendersonville, Tenn. felt in order for them to participate in Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce's parade that they should use their time and materials wisely. They have planned to auction their specially-designed and custom crafted float after the parade on December 16 at Crye-Leike's Hendersonville branch office, located at 383 Johnny Cash Parkway.

Nashville, Tenn. - A total of 28 Crye-Leike sales associates in the Greater Nashville, Tenn. area recently completed a highly-specialized training program on marketing premier properties valued at $400,000 or more. The two-day course, offered by Crye-Leike, Realtors corporatewide as in-house training for its sales associates, included segments on architecture, custom construction, home inspection, insurance, appraisal and finance issues. Also included were on-site showroom consultations with interior and exterior design and engineering professionals as well as home tours through select neighborhoods and luxury properties that focused on architectural design.
Those sales associates from Crye-Leike, Realtors who joined the 127 graduates from the real estate company's continuing education program on marketing premier properties were:

The two-day course included segments on architecture, custom construction, insurance, appraisal and finance issues. Also included were on-site consultations with interior and exterior design and engineering professionals as well as a bus tour through historic neighborhoods that focused on architecture and history.
"We know from Multiple Listing Service records in the Memphis area that Crye-Leike handled three times more transactions than our nearest competitor in the $400,000 plus price range in calendar year 1999," said Steve Brown, vice president and general manager of Crye-Leike Inc. in Memphis. "This course provides Crye-Leike's sales associates with the skills needed to render greater and broader services to the public and to prospective clients in this high end market."

Chattanooga, Tenn. - With Catoosa County being the fastest growing real estate market in the Tri-State area and North Georgia, Crye-Leike, the largest real estate company in the Mid-South and Tennessee, is opening its first branch office in the state of Georgia on Monday, November 27, 2000 in Fort Oglethorpe.
Crye-Leike's Fort Oglethorpe branch office is located in Crye-Leike Plaza at 69 Crye-Leike Drive, named after the company's founders, Harold Crye and Dick Leike. Crye-Leike Plaza, located directly across the street from the Wal-Mart Super Center on Battlefield Parkway, is a 23,000 square foot office plaza on 6.5 acres of land in Catoosa County that was just built and completed by Crye, chief executive officer of Crye-Leike.

Nashville, Tenn. - On October 11, 2000, the Gallatin Planning Commission has rezoned and approved the site and development plan for Crye-Leike, Realtors to build a real estate branch office in Gallatin, Tenn., Sumner County. The site, approximately one acre, is located at 1184 Nashville Pike (Highway 31), west of the city.
The parcel includes a vacant house that was rezoned for office use. The property was purchased by Harold E. Crye, chief executive officer of Crye-Leike, in April 1999 for $185,000.
Crye plans to add a one-story 1,652 square foot expansion to the existing structure, making the project a total of 3,874 square feet of office space for Crye-Leike's new Gallatin branch office. Crye's investment in land and improvements will exceed $350,000.
